Until now, performance ignition manufacturers have almost totally ignored the performance needs
of Land Rover and Range Rover owners. For these vehicles we have addressed the issue of a
weak spark by offering a DUI! No, this is not the DUI you most commonly hear about. We are
referring to a Davis Unified Ignition, which is a high performance distributor designed to improve
fuel mileage, horsepower and torque! The DUI is a complete ignition system in one simple unit.
The compact design makes this unit virtually water, mud and vibration proof as all of the electronic
components are located inside the distributor. No external coils or spark boxes are needed! The
DUI features a 50,000 volt coil that allows spark plug gaps to be opened up to .055". Our high
dwell Dyna-Module makes the coil produce a longer duration spark over a stock module. The
combination of the two provide the most complete combustion of the fuel mixture possible for a
difference in power you can feel! In addition to the hotter spark, the mechanical and vacuum
advance is tuned for optimum performance. Using information about the vehicle and engine, we
can tune an advance curve that will provide instant throttle response and more power throughout
the rpm range without any pre-detonation. We do this using a Sun distributor machine and dialing
in the proper weight and spring assembly. A non-adjustable vacuum advance is then selected to
compliment the mechanical advance. This type of custom tuning is a service you will not find with
any other ignition company! The DUI is built for durability and features both upper and lower oil
impregnated bronze bushings. Dual bushings provide shaft stability for accurate trigger signals
and years of trouble free operation. The DUI Distributor is unsurpassed in quality and each unit is
