Buick or Cadillac! The DUI (Davis Unified Ignition) has everything you need for the ignition in one
simple unit. No external coils or spark boxes are needed. Just one 12 volt hot wire hooked up to
the DUI sends 50,000 volts of pure spark energy to the plugs for a cleaner, crisper, more powerful
running engine! Part of the DUI's performance comes from the custom calibrated advance curve.
A special weight and spring assembly is hand fitted and dialed-in using a distributor machine for
a precise timing curve that will match the specifications of your engine and vehicle. The super
smooth advance provides instant throttle response and maximum power throughout the rpm range
with no pre-detonation. Vacuum advance is provided for improved fuel economy and cleaner
spark plugs. The DUI's high output spark comes from our 50,000 volt coil and Dyna-Module. The
high voltage coil allows spark plug gaps to be opened up to a massive .055"! The dwell in our
Dyna-Module has been increased electronically to allow the coil to produce a longer duration
spark. The combination of the larger gap and longer duration spark provides the most complete
combustion of the fuel mixture possible for increased horsepower and torque. Additional benefits
include quicker starting, smoother idle and better fuel economy! The Street/Strip DUI is available
with a black, blue, red, yellow or clear distributor cap. All caps have the brass terminals for optimum
conductivity. Options available for the DUI include our new built-in rev limiter, a melonized gear for
crate engines and factory roller cams and for Corvette owners we offer a mechanical tach drive
hook-up. Whether your engine is bone stock, mildly modified or heavily modified, we can tune a

LIVEWIRES

Delivering a high voltage spark to the plug requires a quality spark plug wire.
Our LiveWires are unsurpassed in quality by offering low resistance and high
temperature protection. The 8 mm wire is covered by a heat treated fiberglass
sleeve that protects the wire up to 1400° F. The spiral wound core is radio
suppression so there is no radio noise or computer interference. Unlike universal
plug wire sets, LiveWires do not require any assembly. All sets are custom fit and
numbered at each end for the correct cylinder. Colors available are black, blue,
red, purple and yellow.

DYNA-MODULE w/ BUILT-IN REV LIMITER

Our high dwell Dyna-Module is now available with a built-in adjustable Rev Limiter! This
module performs the same as our regular Dyna-Mod by increasing spark duration but
offers the added convenience of protecting your engine from over revving. The rev limit
is adjustable through a small rotary dial on the end of the module from 5000 to 10,000 rpm.
The module also includes Traction Control Detection which immediately slows the vehicle
when a sudden change in ignition signals is detected. Works with all of our DUI and HEI
type distributors that utilize the 4 pin module.

Substitute the Rev Limiter Module for the standard 4 pin module on any DUI by adding $76.00 to the distributor

DUI REV LIMITER

Protect your engine from over revving with the DUI Rev Limiter. The D.U.I. Rev Limiter
drops one cylinder at a time very smoothly. This prevents fuel from loading up on the
plugs. This also avoids backfires and engine damage. Set your RPM limit with plug-in
modules. A 6000, 7000 and 8000 RPM module is included with the rev limiter. Other
RPM increment modules are available separately if needed. This unit works great with
all of our DUI distributors.

The Bronze Distributor Gear is recommended for most roller cam applications. Consult your
cam manufacturer or cam card to find out exactly if your cam requires the bronze distributor
gear. Made of a higher quality bronze than other manufacturers, this gear is designed for

BATTERY AND TACHOMETER CONNECTORS

These plastic insulators and brass terminals make your power supply connection
and tach connection to the DUI Distributor super easy! They plug directly into the
cap and coil assembly and the locking tabs prevent lost connections due to vibration.
The Battery and Tachometer Connectors are priced separately so one of each will
be needed for the hot wire and tach hookup.
