The new Mr. Amp Lite Alternator from Performance Distributors offers racers and street rodders
the best of both worlds by combining a small lightweight alternator with high amperage output.
Before this new technology was available, having a high amp alternator meant mounting a huge,
power robbing heavy chunk of weight to the front of the engine. Small lightweight alternators are
great for saving weight but with low amperage output, not many accessories could be added. We
have now bridged this gap by adding the Mr. Amp Lite to our alternator line up. Mr. Amp Lite
produces a maximum of 140 amps with 75 amps at idle, yet it weighs a mere 10 lbs. Great for all
types of racing, street cars, hot rods and trucks that need a lot of amperage but also need an
alternator that is compact and light. The Mr. Amp Lite only requires one wire for hookup, making
installation simple and easy. Mr. Amp Lite is for non-computer controlled vehicles.
