Ford 5.0 TFI Distributor

Performance Distributors is now offering a factory Motorcraft distributor for the 5.0 engines. This
distributor is built with our full length oil impregnated bushing for improved shaft rotation and
magnetic pick-up coil signals. The new full length bushing replaces the weak upper bushing that
is standard on these units. This provides increased durability and more accurate timing signals
in the higher rpms.The 5.0 Distributor maintains the "stock appearance" because we use Motorcraft
distributor housings. The unit can be powder coated in "Ford Blue" for a custom appearance. The
Distributor comes complete with a brass terminal cap & rotor, 5.0 Dyna Module (86-93 models only)
and a steel gear for factory roller cams. This is a drop-in OEM replacement distributor for 86-95
Mustangs, so no modifications need to be made to the stock wiring.

5.0 Hot Forged Distributor

Our new 5.0 Hot Forged Distributor is the replacement you need to provide your Mustang
with reliable performance and show quality looks! This brand new distributor encompasses
the toughness and durability that the 5.0 engine demands. Hot forging provides a denser,
stronger and more durable distributor compared to cast aluminum and billet distributors.
Each unit is tested for thermal shock and RPM accuracy between 8000 and 10,000 rpm’s.
The Hot Forged distributor is machined using computerized CNC mills and lathes to create
exact tolerances. Both versions include our high dwell Dyna-Module for increased spark
duration which provides a better burn of the fuel mixture. Comes with a steel gear installed
for compatible roller camshafts. The Hot Forged distributor includes the brass terminal cap
and rotor in your choice of blue or red.

5.0 Mr. Amp Alternator

The stock alternator on the 86-93 Mustangs is designed with less amperage than the car
requires. Running the A/C, radio and headlights will put such a demand on the alternator
that the battery voltage will eventually drain down to nothing. To prevent battery drain and
keep your accessories running at peak performance, replace the low amperage stock
unit with our Mr. Amp alternator. The Mr. Amp alternator produces 65 amps at idle with a
maximum output of 130 amps. This is a brand new alternator that includes a serpentine
pulley and new wiring harnesses. The Mr. Amp does require minor alterations that will
need to be made to the existing bracket and three wire harness. Step by step instructions
are included for easy installation.

Dyna-Batt

Lighten up your Mustang! Remove the heavy 40 lb battery and replace it with our
13.5 lb Dyna-Batt. The Dyna Batt produces more power per pound than any battery
on the market. It has the cranking power of wet cell batteries three times its size!
This is due to the extremely low internal resistance. The Dyna Batt does not have a
cold cranking amp rating like other batteries, but has been tested to crank engines
with compression ratios as high as 15:1. The reserve capacity of the Dyna Batt is
16 Amp Hours. The Dyna-Batt is completely dry cell and can withstand the rigors of
high performance and racing enviornments. It is built with corrosion resistant terminals
and is truly maintenance free. The Dyna Batt has an excellent storage life and
recharges very quickly. Any 12 volt charger can be used to recharge the Dyna Batt
but a low amperage battery charger/maintainer, much like the Surecharge Battery
Charger we sell, is recommended. Dimensions of the Dyna Batt are: Length = 7",
Width = 3" & Height = 6 1/2". This battery works great with our Mr. Amp alternator!

Billet Aluminum Wire Looms

The Livewires are built with a protective heat sleeve that covers the entire length of
the wire. Trying to fit the Livewires in factory wire separators is virtually impossible.
Nylon zip ties can be used to keep the wires separated but they do not offer a show
quality appearance. This led us to build a billet wire loom that will not only keep the
wires apart, but offer good looks as well. These billet separators are held together
with allen head screws which are mounted flush within the loom. These separators
are designed specifically for the Livewires and will not pinch or damage the sleeving.
