Performance Distributors is now offering a factory Motorcraft distributor for the 5.0 engines. This distributor is built with our full length oil impregnated bushing for improved shaft rotation and magnetic pick-up coil signals. The new full length bushing replaces the weak upper bushing that is standard on these units. This provides increased durability and more accurate timing signals in the higher rpms.
The 5.0 Distributor maintains the "stock appearance" because we use Motorcraft distributor housings. The unit can be powder coated in "Ford Blue" for a very nice custom appearance. The Distributor comes complete with brass terminal cap & rotor, 5.0 Dyna Module and a steel gear for factory roller cams. This is a drop-in OEM replacement distributor for 86-95 Mustangs, so no modifications need to be made to stock wiring.

Performance Distributors 5.0 Billet Distributor is designed to deliver accurate trigger signals to the 5.0L engine. The distributor is made from a solid billet of 6061-T6 aluminum. It is then CNC machined for close tolerances and great looks. Each distributor has a sealed ball bearing at the top of the shaft for strength and to guide the oversized polished steel shaft through the entire rpm range.
When making serious horsepower with the 5.0L engine, the stock distributor can be the weak link. The 5.0 Billet Distributor from Performance Distributors is the answer for a strong replacement and good looks. Performance Distributors Livewires are built with a protective heat sleeve that covers the entire length of the wire. Trying to fit the Livewires in factory wire separators is virtually impossible. Nylon zip ties can be used to keep the wires separated but they do not offer a show quality appearance. This led us to build a billet wire loom that will not only keep the wires apart, but offer good looks as well. These billet separators are held together with allen head screws which are mounted flush within the loom. These separators are designed specifically for the Livewires and will not pinch or damage the protective heat sleeving.

This is a brand new alternator that includes the regulator, internal fan, pulley and wiring harness. It mounts in the factory location of 86-93 Mustangs with minor grinding work to the stock bracket. Lighten up your Mustang! Remove the heavy 40 lb battery and replace it with Performance Distributors 13.5 lb Dyna-Batt. The Dyna Batt produces more power per pound than any battery on the market. It has the cranking power of wet cell batteries three times its size! This is due to the extremely low internal resistance which allows faster, more consistant starting. The Dyna Batt does not have a cold cranking amp rating like other batteries, but has been tested to crank engines with compression ratios as high as 15:1. The reserve capacity of the Dyna Batt is 16 Amp Hours. The Dyna-Batt is completely dry cell and can withstand the rigors of high performance and racing enviornments. It is built with corrosion resistant terminals and is truly maintenance free. The Dyna Batt has an excellent storage life and recharges very quickly.
Any 12 volt charger can be used to recharge the Dyna Batt but a low amperage battery charger/maintainer, much like the Surecharge Battery Charger we sell, is recommended. Dimensions of the Dyna Batt are: Length = 7", Width = 3" & Height = 6 1/2". This battery works great with our 5.0 130 amp alternator!
